It is a fortress located roughly 30 kilometres southwest of the city of Pune, India. It is situated on a hill rising 800 metres above the surrounding countryside. Previously called Kondana, the fort has been the site of many important battles, most notably the battle of Sinhagad in 1670. It was also strategically located at the center of a string of other forts such as Rajgad, Purandar and Torna.

The hill region in which the city stands is a repository of ancient Hindu culture and is bounded by temples all around.
Leh was the capital of the Himalayan kingdom of Ladakh, now the Leh District in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, India.The town is still dominated by the now ruined Leh Palace, former home of the royal family of Ladakh, built in the same style and about the same time as the Potala Palace. Leh is at an altitude of 3,500 meters.

Lakshadweep, formerly the Laccadives, is a group of islands situated some 400 km off India’s west coast in the Arabian sea. They are India’s only coral atolls and geologically a part of the same chain as the Maldives. It has ten inhabited islands, 17 uninhabited islands attached islets, four newly formed islets and 5 submerged reefs.

After Goa becomes a State, a Union Territory was formed on 30th May 1987 consisting of two separate Districts of Daman & Diu. Diu becomes popular as Tourist Destination due to its scenic beauty, the wonderful sandy beaches and the heritage buildings.It is famous for being the location of the pivotal Battle of Diu in 1509. It is an island lying off the south coast of Gujarat’s Kathiawar peninsula, separated from the mainland by a tidal creek. The town of Diu lies at the eastern end of the island, and is famous for its fortress and old Portuguese Cathedral. It is also a fishing town.
Shivanasamudra is a small town in the Mandya District of the state of Karnataka. It is situated on the banks of the river Kaveri and is the location of the first Hydro-electric Power station in Asia, which was set up in the year 1902.
The Shivanasamudra Falls is on the Kaveri River after the river has wound its way through the rocks and ravines of the Deccan Plateau and drops off to form waterfalls. The island town of Shivanasamudra divides the river into twin waterfalls. This creates the fourth largest island in the rivers course. A group of ancient temples are located here and there likely was a village.
Andaman and Nicobar are a large group of nearly 600 islands in the Bay of Bengal. These islands are one of the few amazing islands in world, which has lots of hidden natural beauty on land as well as in deep sea also.
Most people come here for the beaches and the scuba diving, especially on Havelock Island and Neil Island.
The only place with historical attractions of note is Port Blair, which houses both British-era colonial buildings, including the notorious Cellular Jail, and a few World War II bunkers dating from the brief Japanese occupation.
Dadra and Nagar Haveli is a Union Territory in western India. Nagar Haveli is wedged between Maharashtra and Gujarat. Dadra and Nagar Haveli are in the watershed of the Daman Ganga River, which flows through the territory. The territory is landlocked, although the Arabian Sea coast lies just to the west in Gujarat. Dadra and Nagar Haveli was a Portuguese colony, administered by the Portuguese Governor of Daman.
